Last night, AJ asked a question that I thought to be profound beyond his years and therefore very difficult to answer. "Dad, soldiers put Jesus in jail. I thought soldiers and police officers were good guys...?"
Andy: "Yes, soldiers and police officers help protect us. And, I am a soldier, you know that."
AJ: "But they put Jesus in jail."
WOW, I thought... Luckily one of us (I can't remember now which.) said "In this world there are good soldiers and bad soldiers; daddy is part of the good soldiers."
This was one of the times that we were sitting there with blank "duh" looks on our faces and thankfully God inserted some wisdom because our 3 year old almost got the best of us!
