Mount Hermon Family Camp 2011! Part 1

We had a GREAT time at family camp last week! It was a time both packed with fun and relaxing too! I didn't have to cook or clean, we got to sleep in and everyone of us had our own age appropriate activities throughout the day!

One of the things Andy & I did was the Redwood Canopy Tour. This is a series (6) of zip lines and sky bridges through the Redwood forest. These zip lines range in length from 100' to 440' and heights up to 150'!

I must admit to you that there was a moment just before the first line that I thought I might not be able to force myself to step off the platform but I clamped my eyes shut and did it anyway and I am SO glad I did!!!

This is me finishing the second zip line. I was able to keep eyes open that time!

This picture shows the last platform. I especially wanted to show this picture because the tree is leaning so far over! It's incredible to me that this huge tree just stands there like that all the time!
