Today we celebrated AJ's 4th birthday! Here is our honorary pirate!
Andy & I spent the evening and morning making this cake - it was SO fun!
Just before everyone arrived he had a wardrobe change. He decided he'd rather wear a pirate shirt than the costume. :( Oh well.
A number of little ones digging for buried treasure - gold nuggets!
And, these are our pirates. :) The sword and hook AJ got as gifts!
Andy put together a scavenger hunt that took the kids throughout our neighborhood, behind actually. They traveled all around the paths that run behind our house and to various parks. All the clues rhymed and at the end, each crew unburied a treasure chest full of gold (chocolate) coins! The party was a huge success!
