Today is our anniversary and we decided to celebrate by hiring a babysitter, taking a bike ride and having a picnic! This sounded particularly fun because we wouldn't have to be shouting at small people to watch where they were going moments before they crashed into a tree or another person, because we found a great nature trail last week that goes all the way to DC and because I need to tread as many miles per day as I can for the fundraiser I am participating in! All these reasons led to us taking off this morning on an outdoor adventure. We rode 10.3 miles - I was shocked!
I would like to take this opportunity to say how much I am SO grateful that God Brought Andy to me. My life, 11 years later, is beyond anything I could have asked for. All day I've been singing that old song, "I love him, I love him, I love him and where he goes I follow, I follow, I follow, he'll always be my true love, my true love, my true love..." It's, oh, so true!
Look at these kids! WOW, we look so young...

| Here we are today, mid way back to the trail head. |
One of the things I love about this area is that it is metropolitan but yet there is no shortage of nature, they did not fill in the entire area around DC with concrete. I love it! We were just riding along and then the trail opened up to a park that led us right to this bridge which crossed a major road in Rockville, MD. Cool, huh?!
