In exactly one months time (to the hour) we learned of a little girl who needed a family, met her, fell in love with her, God confirmed she was to be part of our family and then it all became official (today)!
Much like the day each of our biological children were born, today we recognized the fulfillment of a life long dream; a longing that God is fulfilling.
You may have read the title to this post and paused... I know, it's quite a name. Amia is the first name God directed us to and, not coincidentally, sounds similar to her birth name. Marie is a family name in my family. Kenya is one of the middle names her birth mother gave her and we decided to keep it. So there ya go. A petite little girl with a big name. I love it. :)
