Sharp Wit!

Today each of our children said something that deserves to be shared, laughed about and remembered!

This morning while Andy was helping Amia get ready for getting up to the table he told her that he'd help her get up to the table after she took off her dress-up dress. She gave a little hop and a smile and said "You jus' hold on suga!"

Our social worker, Alecia, came today to finalize all the placement paperwork. Abigail and AJ have associated her with 'providing' Amia to us. Last week AJ asked me if Alecia was Amia's mommy. Well tonight, I was tucking him in and he asked "Mommy, when I was a baby, did Alecia bring me here??"

You may be hearing in the news about Operation Pacific Passage. This is a US military op that is evacuating American citizens out of Japan and bringing them to Travis AFB. I have been receiving calls for volunteers all week and finally today had an opportunity to go and buy water, baby stuff, snacks, etc to contribute to the effort. I asked Abigail if she'd like to go with me to the air terminal to deliver the supplies. While we were driving there I was explaining in depth why we were doing this. She really listened and seemed to understand. After a brief pause she said "Mom, I know that since we are helping God's children that Jesus' face is smiling at us right now." My heart melted!

Not to mention the comment a few days later from AJ when we were at a play center when he was trying to get the attention of his sister. He said "Sister.....Sister, with the white skin!" I had to hold in the laugh as I thought, well at least he's realizing that he has two sisters now.
